The next
Rensselaer Acacia Corporation Board of Directors meeting is
scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18 at the Chapter
House.
Following the Board Meeting, the Rensselaer Acacia Corporation's annual General Meeting is scheduled for 2:00 PM that same day at the Chapter House. All Corporation Members in good standing are invited to attend. If you have not yet paid your 2009 dues, you may do so online now, or in-person prior to the meeting, in order to be able to vote on any issues raised during the general meeting (this includes election of Board Members).

60th Anniversary Celebration Announced

The Rensselaer
Chapter of Acacia Fraternity will celebrate its 60th anniversary
this fall. Please reserve the weekend of October 16-18 now. We hope
to see as many Brothers as possible. The following is a list of
proposed events/activities for the weekend. Please contact George
Van Horne (contact info in the Directory) to RSVP or see
how you can help with planning and organizing.

Designated drivers provided by our own loveable, underage actives. (Generous tipping will be expected!)

- Afternoon - Golf Tournament
- Evening - Meet & Greet party at the chapter house on Sunset Terrace
Saturday, October 17
- Check-in table where you pick up your nametag and commemorative clothing
- Say goodbye to your teenage sons as they disappear into the video game room! Alternate activities for daughters and wives to be provided.
- Lunch, under tents in the backyard
- Opening remarks & awards presentation
- Open house & tour of campus
- 3 pm RPI women's hockey game--entertainment for wives & daughters
- Alumni Corporation meeting, all alumni and brothers are urged to attend
- Dinner in the backyard
- Video testimonials--if we can get 2-3 people to volunteer to organize, then we can have a professional video team interview each Acacian who is present.
- Evening entertainment for the whole family! Volunteers will be recruited individually.

Rensselaer Acacia Corporation Board of Directors meeting is
scheduled for 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 19 at the Chapter
House. This is a postponement from the originally scheduled start
time of 11:00 AM due to the AIGC meeting earlier that
morning.

Acacia Corporation will hold a regular Board of Directors meeting
at the Acacia house, 145 Sunset Terrace in Troy, on Saturday,
December 1, 2007. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. All
members of the Rensselaer Acacia Corporation are welcome to
attended.
Special Meeting Called for October 6

Four dues-paying
members of the RAC (myself, Nick McDaniel, Jason Sensibaugh, and
Josh Adams) have submitted a request in writing to me, the RAC
Secretary, to call a special meeting of RAC members, pursuant
to
RAC By-Laws
Art. 3, Sect. 2. The date
is October 6, 2007, at 12 PM (time subject to change), at the
fraternity house at 145 Sunset Terrace. This message is being sent
out more than 10 days prior to the meeting date (
Art. 3, Sect. 2). There
are four general points of business on the agenda for this
meeting;
only this business
will be considered.
You must be a dues-paid alumnus to have a vote at this meeting if any matters are voted on. Proxy voting is discouraged by Robert's Rules of Order, but is allowed by the RAC By-Laws ( Art. 3, Sect. 4). Quorum at this meeting is defined as one-third of dues-paid members or nine dues-paid members, whichever is less (Art. 3, Sect. 3).

- The present active membership (in terms of numbers, individual brothers/pledges, and divisions) and its effects on the alumni corporation
- Ideas for RAC support of the Active Chapter
- Clarification and definition of boundaries between RAC and the Active Chapter
- RAC plans to aid in rebuilding Active Chapter membership

For those interested in getting
involved, the next Rensselaer Acacia Corporation Board of Directors
meeting will be held on Saturday, June 2 beginning at 1:00 PM. The
meeting is scheduled to run until about 3:00 PM. As always the
meeting will be at the Chapter House, 145 Sunset Terrace,
Troy.
